The book is divided into 40 units or lessons, each with a text of about 200 words, and is designed to be covered in about 40 hours of classroom instruction, or one 15-week semester, with three class meetings a week. For that reason, several of the short suuras are grouped in one lesson, and the longer suuras are divided into smaller units.
