My work over the past five years explores an interconnected set of issues having to do with work, creativity, and the capacity of institutions to sponsor creative work and the connection with the self that makes creative work possible. I am currently at work on two projects: a book on the psychodynamic study of society, and, with a coauthor, a book on recent conflicts in universities with special emphasis on issues of aggression, resilience, and identity.
