My work comprises ethnographic studies of security and securitisation, in particular within the maritime domain. Moreover, I am interested in the topics of (preventing) transnational crime, specifically the arms trade; state-corporate crime; war (crimes); crimes against humanity; and genocide. My theoretical interest focuses on 'othering', (Nietzschean) existentialism and phenomenology.
