Philip Hirsch
Philip Hirsch is a geographer with a passion for social justice issues associated with the ways in which people interact with the environment, particularly in Southeast Asia. He taught and carried out fieldwork in Thailand during the early- to mid-1980s. Since 1987 Phil has taught at the University of Sydney and has been teaching, researching and writing on issues of agrarian change, politics of environment and natural resource governance in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.
