Mentoring budding Hollywood and indie directors and writers and consulting on scripts as well as commissions for film, television and the theater has been a great professional privilege. Teaching young writers at universities and in workshops and seminars around the world has brought much pleasure as well as the many wonderful students who have come to learn from me. Sheer joy though is when I am wrestling with my own plays and screenplays, when they begin to posses me and flow and come alive.
