Tim Hutchings

Tim Hutchings is a sociologist of digital religion, interested in online memory, community, authority and ritual. His PhD (Durham University, 2010) was an ethnographic study of online Christian churches, and his subsequent projects have included studies of Bible apps, pilgrimage and conversion testimonies. His current research in Stockholm focuses on online responses to death, bereavement and mourning.
