Biography

I'm passionate about research in the criminal justice system and I'm an expert in programme evaluation, designing and conducting research evaluations in prisons and the community both with offenders and those at risk of offending since 2001.
My current work focuses on assessing the impact of the arts and other non-traditional programmes for offenders, and on investigating the needs of women in prison. In 2011 I was presented with a commendation award from the Howard League for Penal Reform for my research on the arts in prisons.
