Richard Westra
Richard (PH.D. Queen's Canada, 2001) has taught and researched at universities and colleges around the world including Japan, South Korea, The Bahamas, Thailand, UK and Canada. He has been International Adjunct Professor at the Center for Macau Studies, University of Macau since 2018. He is author or editor of 18 books and has published scores of articles and chapters in peer reviewed international journals and books. Hi is co-editor of Journal of Contemporary Asia.
Biography
Over the past 2 decades Richard has taught at universities and colleges around the world including: Nagoya University, Japan; Pukyong National University, South Korea; University of the Bahamas, Nassau; Royal Military College, Canada; and Bader International Study Center, Herstmonceux Castle, UK. He has also been a Visiting Professor at the Institute for Political Economy, Carleton University, Visiting Research Fellow at the Social Science Research Institute, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand and is currently International Adjunct Professor at the Center for Macau Studies, University of Macau. He has authored or edited 18 books, 9 of which are published by Routledge. His work has also been widely published in peer reviewed international journals. He is co-editor of Journal of Contemporary Asia. He received his PH.D. from Queen’s University Canada in 2001.Education

With 1970s galloping inflation threatening to bring down the US economy and with it the US dollar based global trading order, Milton Friedman proved correct in his policy advice that rapidly curtailing the money supply and restricting credit creation would halt the rot.
