About the Book

The Annals of English Drama is an analytical record of all plays, extinct or lost, chronologically arranged and indexed by authors, titles, dramatic companies etc. This new edition contains approximately one thousand new entries, clarifications, corrections and deletions. The format has been changed slightly for ease of reference and a selective list of titles has been added. The results of recently published research are included where possible, suggesting alternative possibilities concerning the date and authorship, but received opinion on such subjects still takes precedence. A useful addition to the public and private scholarly collective throughout the world.
