IRFAN A. OMAR IS ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF ISLAM AND WORLD RELIGIONS AT MARQUETTE UNIVERSITY IN MILWAUKEE. HE IS THE AUTHOR OF SEVERAL ARTICLES IN SCHOLARLY JOURNALS AND IS CO-EDITOR OF HEIRS OF ABRAHAM (ORBIS 2005, FORTHCOMING).
