"This comprehensive text combines theory and techniques in the context of trans-cultural practice. Each chapter challenges the student to understand the influence of his/her cultural beliefs, as they prepare to practice with marginalized clients. This should be a required text in all Counselor Education programs." - Michael J. Bologna, PhD, Professor, Graduate Counseling program, The College of Saint Rose
"As a teacher of future therapists, I found this text to be a welcome addition to the resources that I am currently using for my courses. The authors have deftly and succulently summarized all the major theories of psychotherapy into clear and relatable chapters which are very appropriate for students." - David M. Feldman, PhD, Assistant Professor of Psychology, Barry University
