The books in this series will provide a comprehensive overview of the educational history and development of different countries in Asia. Each volume will discuss the historical origin of education and provide a critical analysis of its educational development by examining the education system, policy initiatives, educuational reforms, key sociological and policitcal influences, and may comment on the outlook on future directions as informed by current policy and discourse.
