Development Studies Catalogue 2012-2013
Dear Reader,
Welcome to the Development Studies Catalogue 2012/2013. We are excited by the diversity of areas we cover and the range of products we have published to date. Our Development Studies list continues to grow rapidly while reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of the field and continued importance of the field.
We have a fantastic year ahead of publishing. As well as a brand new edition of Introduction to Sustainable Development later in the year, and some great new additions to the Perspectives on Development series, including Emma Tomalin’s long awaited Religions and Development. We are also very excited about our new titles Working in Development, Latin American Development, and Resilience, Development and Global Change.
We are particularly enthused about commissioning new titles for two brand new series we are launching. Routledge Humanitarian Studies, edited by Thea Hihorst and Alex de Waal, is the first series dedicated to the study of how humanitarian crises evolve, how they affect people and their institutions and societies, and the responses they trigger. Rethinking Development aims to offer short original contributions designed to break new ground in the literature on development and its academic and popular understanding and to foster debate for thinking critically about development.
It is a constant pleasure to work with such inspiring and committed authors and series editors.
