Welcome...

As ever, we are fully committed to publishing highly developed materials for teaching and learning, top quality scholarship and premium reference titles and this year we expand our range further with many new titles. In 2012, we also acquired the Hodder Education lists in Linguistics and Language Learning and we are delighted to have the opportunity to build on such a prestigious set of titles.

Some highlights for 2013:

Understanding Semantics, 2nd edition, by Sebastian Lobner in the Understanding Language series, edited by Greville Corbett and Bernard Comrie. We will be continuing to develop and expand this Hodder series.

Halliday's Introduction to Functional Grammar, M.A.K. Halliday's definitive text, now in its 4th edition and edited by Christian Matthiessen, publishes in July alongside new editions of Geoff Thompson's Introducing Functional Grammar and The Functional Analysis of English by Meriel and Thomas Bloor.

New editions of some of our best-selling textbooks: Second Language Acquisition, 4th edition, Introducing Language in Use, 2nd edition and Practical Phonetics and Phonology, 3rd edition.

The Routledge Handbook of English Language Studies edited by Constant Leung and Brian V. Street will re-define the discipline of English language studies and The Routledge Handbook of Applied Linguistics, edited by James Simpson, publishes in paperback.

Finally, don't miss our Routledge Translation Studies Portal, our growing set of online resources for translation and interpreting studies; new materials are added every few months. If you would like to contribute material or have suggestions for this, please do email us!
