Theatre and Performance Studies 2012

New Titles and Key Backlist 2012

Welcome to the 2012 Routledge Theatre and Performance Studies catalogue...

Our new offerings range from the historical and theoretical to the practical and pedagogical. This year we launch Stephen Di Benedetto’s inspiring introductory textbook on theatre design, as well as Judith Malina’s unique Piscator Notebook. We’re very proud to announce Peggy Phelan’s West Coast collection Live Art in LA, as well as the remarkable Andrei Droznin’s Physical Actor Training DVD package. And much more besides... But the single most innovative project which is coming to fruition this year is The Routledge Performance Archive, which we’re producing in partnership with Digital Theatre and is set to transform resources for the theatre studies classroom.

This online catalogue also provides a comprehensive listing of our backlist titles in theatre, performance and related areas, full tables of contents, and additional information.

Our innovative program of cutting-edge research books deserved a livery to match, so we are delighted to unveil our new Routledge Research cover design. Routledge Research is our home for upper‐level scholarly studies and edited collections.

Our cover image is from Le Cosa 1 by Teatro Sotterraneo. Photograph © Paulo Rapalino. Teatro Sotterraneo have kindly agreed to let us use this as our central publicity image for the Routledge Performance Archive.
