Note from the Editor...

Five years ago the Routledge political science list contained few titles that many of you would recognize as falling within the traditional confines of the American politics subfield.  In recent years we have made a concerted effort to round out our publishing program to touch on most areas of American politics and its curriculum, from the introductory course in American government to upper division electives on institution, political behavior, and public policy.  The development of this list obviously continues but I think that in these pages you will find a wealth of new titles that fit your teaching and research needs.  I am especially eager to point you toward our innovative new series, New Directions in American Politics, with cutting edge volumes on the presidency, Congress, political parties, campaigns and elections, public opinion, and judicial politics.  Keep an eye out for more titles in this series in the next couple years as well.  If you have not looked to Routledge much in the past for resources in the study of American politics, I invite you to do so now.  I am very excited about all we have to offer and I hope it is contagious.  Enjoy!

Best,

Michael Kerns
Acquisitions Editor, Political Science
