Professor Philip Haynes argues in his book Public Policy Beyond the Financial Crisis for more innovative approaches to monetary and fiscal policy to revive the UK economy. He makes the case for a whole systems approach to macroeconomic policy rather than focusing on fixed indicators like inflation or growth targets.
