We are pleased to announce the addition of a new range of Teachers'-Only articles on the Companion Website for Stephan Gramley's The History of English: An Introduction. These new sections of the website contains three elements, which are intended to support teaching of the subject.

The new Instructors' section of the website, which accompanies The History of English: An Introduction, contains three elements. Each offers suggestions which are intended to support your teaching. You are, of course, completely free to pick and choose among the material supplied here as best suits your teaching aims and interests.

Study Projects are short suggestions (all four on a single page) about possible projects you might instigate to help your students follow the development of one or the other of four aspects of change in English throughout its history and spread. The idea behind this is to help them develop a feeling for the continuing effects of change.

Teaching Points are available as a resource for each of the thirteen chapters. The points selected were the ones Gramley used in teaching this book in the second term of the 2011–12 academic year. He found it useful to concentrate on certain points only in order to help the students cope with the — for them — overwhelming amount of new information. The Teaching Points draw largely on material in the respective chapters, repeating some of it and including some maps, tables, and figures from HoE. There is, however, a certain amount of supplementary material. Where this is the case Gramley has been careful to document his sources.

Study Questions are also available for each of the chapters. Each of them consists of suggested answers to the study questions given at the ends of the respective chapters. The answers vary considerably in length, and some of them contain supplementary material not to be found in HoE. Where this is the case, the sources Gramley has drawn on are given.

The Teacher Resources are just a selection of what can be found on the Companion Website - which also includes an interactive timeline, chapter links, texts and exercises, audio resources and much more. It is November already! Crazy. The year has really flown by and before long we will be into 2012. We are sure everyone is looking forward to a nice end-of-year rest and a chance to let your hair down. Before it is quite time to break out the New Year's champagne, however, we would like to bring you the brand new 2012 Reference Catalog, hot off the press and available for download today. Look out for all our social media links, divided by subject area, dotted throughout the Catalog. If you use Facebook or Twitter, there could be something for you!

2011 has been a busy year for Routledge Reference. The Routledge Revivals series, which reissues a wide range of out-of-print titles, has grown to include over 350 titles, all of which are available in hardback and as eBooks. And you can now purchase Revivals as subject-specific bundles within Sociology, Philosophy, Literature, Economics and Politics. Is there a bundle that could benefit your library?

We are expecting the next few months to be equally busy. In December we publish our long-awaited Education set, which boasts contributions from some of the greatest educationalists, teaching professionals and policy makers of the twentieth century. You can get the full low down on the 244-volume Education collection by taking a peek at its new dedicated Online Catalog.

And December will also see the publication of the last of our 2012 Europa Regional Surveys of the World. Eastern Europe, Russia and Central Asia 2012 and The USA and Canada 2012 will be published on the 8th and 15th December respectively. Again, to make life easier, we have put together a snazzy Online Catalog for this collection. In fact, Online Catalogs have been one of our big projects this year, to avoid sending you too many printed pieces (and saving trees in the process!). In the relevant sections of the Reference Catalog you will find screenshots explaining how you can access all our new Online Catalog. Enjoy!
