  5. War rape in Bosnia highlighted by Skjelsbæk book and Jolie’s directorial debut

    The use of rape in war and the effects it has on its victims are explored by Inger Skjelsbæk in his book The Political Psychology of War Rape, which specifically examines the case of Bosnia. It provides a framework for understanding the use of sexual violence in war, and how individual experiences are shaped by national and international discourses.

    Yehezekel Dror is one of Israel’s leading authorities on public policy, having won the Israel Prize for Management in 2005. He has served as an adviser to think tanks and to the Israeli government, as well as recently being appointed as member of the Winograd Commission on the Second Lebanon War, as reported by Yonatan Touval in the January 2012 edition of Haaretz. It therefore comes as no surprise that his recently published book is a compelling work, offering a fascinating insight into Israeli national security challenges and responses.
