About the Web Companion

This is the first website companion supporting a major introductory textbook in Jewish Studies. Modelled on the structure of the core text it was thoroughly read by a professor of Jewish Studies and also by an A-level teacher to ensure its soundness as a pedagogical tool.

Compiled by Dan Cohn-Sherbok to support each individual chapter of Judaism it provides:

• Things to think about - topics highlighted from each chapter for discussion or investigation
• Things to do - activities for students and teachers to enliven individual study or classroom discussion
• Tips for teachers - activities to ensure interactive teaching in classrooms and seminars
• Downloadable maps from the history section of the core text to use as overheads in teaching
