The internet has a vast range of very useful resources
in Stylistics. For critical and analytical material, search for
the names of prominent stylisticians. Some of them have their own
resource pages, with their own articles which you can read online.
Some of these are held directly on their websites, others are linked
to the main scholarly journals – many of which are also available
online. You can usually be sure of the credibility of writers who
have published widely and who are attached to university departments.
In particular, you can track further work by the authors in the
section D readings.
There are a number of key journals in stylistics, most notably
Style, The Journal of Literary Semantics and Language
and Literature. The last of these can be explored at http://www.sagepub.co.uk/journal.aspx?pid=105705
where a sample issue of the journal can be downloaded for free.
The main academic association for stylistics is The Poetics and
Linguistics Association (PALA). PALA holds regular conferences and
meetings around the world, and publishes, amongst other things a
regular newsletter. Details of how to join PALA, which by the way
offers very good rates for students, can be found at
http://www.pala.ac.uk/
Finally, my own website is at Queen’s University Belfast:
