About the Book

Early Years Play and Learning: Developing Social Skills and Cooperation

The book promotes a reflective approach by practitioners towards deepening their understanding of children's interests, their developing expertise as social-cooperative beings and their ever-expanding capacities for learning whilst playing. In order to further support reflective engagements with colleagues, these web pages have been developed.

Selected extracts from the book are presented alongside suggestions for their use by early years' professionals - in-training and experienced. As is noted in the conclusion to the book's introduction, just as is the case with children:
