About the Book About the Authors Gill Branston is a Senior Lecturer and Director of Undergraduate Studies in the School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies at Cardiff University. Among her previous publications are A Student's Guide to Entry to Media Studies (UCAS, 1998); News, Gender and Power (as Co-Editor, Routledge, 1998); Cinema and Cultural Modernity (Open University, 2000). Roy Stafford is a freelance lecturer, writer and examiner in media education and training. Among his previous publications are Visual Literacy and Nonlinear Editing (BFI, 1996) and Hands On: A Teacher's Guide to Media Technology (BFI, 1993).
