In the following short reading passages, some verbs appear in the infinitive. Decide the correct form of the verb and insert it in the space. The verbs are listed in the order you should use them.

Vocabulary:

qualche volta = sometimes   una lingua = a language   un interprete = an interpreter   aiutare = to help


1. abitare       avere       dovere       preferire       volere       potere

Parla Luisa: Mio marito ed ìo a Milano. un appartamento in centro. Paolo è milanese ma io bolognese. confessare che Bologna a Milano. È più piccola, più simpatica e secondo me più bella. abitare lì ma non a causa del lavoro di mio marito.

 

 

 

2. essere        lavorare        avere        parlare       dovere        capire       parlare       potere

Parla Paolo: medico e in un ospedale. Qualche volta noi pazienti che non l'italiano. Allora chiamare un interprete. Ma molti l'inglese. Io l'inglese, per fortuna. Così anche aiutare altri colleghi.
