Verb practice

You know some of the most useful irregular verbs and also the three types of regular verb. Here is some practice. Some verbs are given in brackets and in the infinitive. Replace with the correct form of the verb. When the subject is not stated, we have put a pronoun in brackets to give you a clue.

1.

La signora Smith (telefonare) al signor Rossi.
(Lei) (volere) una riunione con
il signor Rossi (loro) (dovere) parlare del nuovo progetto.
(Lei) (venire) a Milano la settimana prossima.
Martedì non - (potere) fare la riunione
perché (andare) a Torino.

(Preferire) mercoledì.

Mercoledì (andare) bene anche per il signor Rossi.
(loro) (decidere) per mercoledì e
il signor Rossi (invitare) la signora Smith a cena con lui e sua moglie.
La signora Smith (accettare) con piacere.

 

2.

Alberto e Marisa (volere) vedere il film che ha avuto il Leone d'oro al Festival del Cinema a Venezia.
Lunedì (loro = Alberto e Marisa) non (potere) andare perché
Alberto (avere) una riunione.
E martedì Marisa (fare) aerobica.
Ogni mercoledì Alberto (giocare) a tennis con Raffaele.
Giovedì (essere) liberi.

(Decidere) di andare giovedì.
(Loro) (trovarsi) al cinema?
No. Alberto (venire) a prendere Marisa
e (loro) (andare) a mangiare la pizza prima.
