Verb practice

In the following short passages, which are all about people you have met in the book so far, the verb has been left in the infinitive between brackets. Replace each bracket with the correct form of the passato prossimo.

First, the lady you have just met, Mrs. Mancini.

(Tornare) a casa e

(mettere) la carne e la verdura nel frigo.

And now an American, George, wanting to get away from the city for a long weekend on the occasion of the 25th April holiday (The anniversary of the Liberation).

3.

Joe, back home, tells his sister about some of the things he did during his recent holiday in Italy . She is studying Italian in the same class as he, so to give her and himself practice, he tells her in Italian.
