Weblinks
The Archaeology Coursebook is designed to be used alongside other resources, particularly those available on the internet. Inevitably we had to leave interesting links out of the text and we have discovered useful sites since it was written. This companion provides an extended range of links with some commentary to guide you to those likely to be of most use. We hope this site will become your first stop when looking for resources and information for your courses.
As ever, websites come and go. We have updated the list from the second edition and also added many new sites which we hope you will find useful. Sadly since the last update of the website many British universities have introduced password protection for their sites which prevent all but their own students accessing research findings and reports. As a result we have included a higher proportion of American and European links since their universities continue to encourage public use of their sites.
If you find sites which would be of use to other students, please use the Feedback form. Where possible we have let the other websites know about the links.
