Resumé Templates
How to Use the Resumé Templates
These templates have been formatted to be printed on any standard printer, then trimmed to the size of 8 inches by 10 inches.
Double-click on the text in these resumés to highlight them and replace the existing text with your own information.
You can change fonts and sizes as you would with any standard MS Word document in either PC or Macintosh format.
Remember the guidelines we lay out in Acting in Musical Theatre, Section 6: The Profession.
- Only two font families per resume
- Let your name be prominent and easily readable
- Keep plenty of white space around the borders
- The resumé should be trimmed to 8 inches x 10 inches. The excess space is to the right of the text and at the bottom of the page.
- Staple or double-stick tape the resume to the back of your picture (also 8 inches x 10 inches).
If you want to add color to your resume, keep it simple. You might make the text a dark blue, dark brown or dark burgundy. It still needs to be readable. You could also make the category headings and your name a color that isn't too garish and leave the text black.
