    Biography

    Yang Yang was born in Dazhu, Sichuan Province. He is a postdoctoral research fellow, professor, and doctoral supervisor at the Department of Civil Engineering, Tsinghua University, where he worked together with Academician Jianguo Nie (co-supervisor). He has chaired three projects for the National Natural Science Foundation of China; one project for the National Key R & D Program; two projects for Chongqing Science and Technology Bureau; one project for Chongqing Transportation Bureau; one project for the Science and Technology Committee of Fuling District, Chongqing; and three projects for the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities. His previous honors include one first prize (ranked 1st) and two second prizes (ranked 1st) of first-class industry societies/associations registered by the State Science and Technology Awards Office; and the second prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of Qinghai Province (ranked 1st). He has published more than 40 papers in SCI- and EI-indexed journals, including Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing, Engineering Structures, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, Structural Control and Health Monitoring, Journal of Sound and Vibration, Remote Sensing, China Journal of Highway and Transport, Journal of Building Structures, Chinese Journal of Scientific Instrument, and Engineering Mechanics. Currently, he is holding 9 software copyrights. He has applied for 21 invention patents, 9 of which have been granted. In addition, he also serves as a guest editor for several special issues, such as Remote Sensing in Structural Health Monitoring (IF: 5.349), Symmetry in Safety and Disaster Prevention Engineering (IF: 2.940), and Symmetry in Structural Health Monitoring (IF: 2.940).

    Dr. Sudharshan N. Raman completed his PhD at The University of Melbourne, Australia, focusing on structural engineering and infrastructure protective technologies. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE), UK; a Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE); a Member of American Concrete Institute (ACI); and a Committee Member of the Civil & Structural Engineering Technical Division of The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM). He is also an Adjunct Member of the Centre of Innovative Construction Technology (CICT) at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya, Malaysia.

    Bingxiang Yuan, male, is a doctor (post), associate professor, and “Youth 100 A” of the Guangdong University of Technology. He works as a letter evaluation expert for the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province, Shaanxi Province, and Zhejiang Province; a member of the Academic Committee of Pile Foundation of China Civil Engineering Society; a director of the Red Layer Engineering Branch of the Chinese Society of Rock Mechanics and Engineering; a member of the Professional Committee of Soil Ontogeny and Strength Theory of the Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering Branch of China Civil Engineering Society.

    Zhijun Xu is an associate professor and master’s supervisor, serving as one of the young backbone teachers of Henan University of Technology; he also acts as a part-time correspondence reviewer of the Department of Engineering Materials of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, a member of the International Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, and a youth member of the Risk and Insurance Research Branch of China Civil Engineering Society; he has presided over 2 general projects and youth projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, participated in 3 national natural science projects.
