    Biography

    Dr. Debarka Mukhopadhyay has more than 17 years of research and teaching experience and is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Christ University, Bangalore. He is an enthusiastic and result-oriented individual with a Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal, and M. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Kalyani Govt Engineering College under the West Bengal University of Technology. Dr. Mukhopadhyay holds 20 patents including 6 international and 14 national (Indian), and published 14 articles in international journals, 22 in conference proceedings, as well as 8 book chapters. His current research interests include Blockchain technology, IoT, AI, and nano computing, among others. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), and the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE).

    Dr. Siddhartha Bhattacharyya [FRSA, FIET (UK), FIEI, FIETE, LFOSI, SMIEEE, SMACM, SMIETI, SMAAIA, LMCSI, LMISTE] earned a Bachelor’s degree in Physics in 1995, a Bachelor’s degree in Optics and Optoelectronics in 1998, and a Master’s degree in Optics and Optoelectronics in 2000, all from the University of Calcutta, India. He completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Jadavpur University, India in 2008. He is the recipient of the University Gold Medal from the University of Calcutta for his Master’s thesis. He is the recipient of several coveted awards including the Distinguished HoD Award and Distinguished Professor Award conferred by the Computer Society of India, Mumbai Chapter, India in 2017, the Honorary Doctorate Award (D. Litt.) from The University of South America, and the South East Asian Regional Computing Confederation (SEARCC) International Digital Award ICT Educator of the Year in 2017. He has been appointed as the ACM Distinguished Speaker for the 2018–2020 tenure. He has been inducted into the People of ACM Hall of Fame by ACM, USA, in 2020. He has been appointed as the IEEE Computer Society Distinguished Visitor for the 2021–2023 tenure. He has been elected as the full foreign member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. He has been elected a full fellow of The Royal Society for Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce (RSA), London, UK. Dr. Bhattacharyya is currently serving as the Principal of Rajnagar Mahavidyalaya, Rajnagar, Birbhum. He is a coauthor of 6 books and coeditor of 80 books and has more than 350 published research publications in international journals and conference proceedings to his credit. He is the owner of 2 patents under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) and 19 patents. He has been a member of the organizing and technical program committees of several national and international conferences. Dr. Bhattacharyya is an associate editor of several reputed journals including Applied Soft Computing, IEEE Access, Evolutionary Intelligence, and IET Quantum Communications. He is the editor of the International Journal of Pattern Recognition Research and the Founding Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Hybrid Intelligence, Inderscience. He has guest-edited several issues with several international journals. His research interests include hybrid intelligence, pattern recognition, multimedia data processing, social networks, and quantum computing.

    Dr. Balachandran Krishnan is a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Christ University, Bangalore. He earned his Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He did his postgraduate work in molecular physics, computer application, and information technology. His research includes developing an adaptive weight-based ensemble model for lung cancer pre-diagnosis. His research interests include artificial intelligence, data science, and computer networks. In his 38 years of professional experience, he has worked as a scientific officer in the atomic energy department of a research and development center catering to assay and analysis of geophysical data exploration of radioactive minerals (20 years) and as a field officer with the Tata Tea Plantation (1 year), in addition to his current tenure at Christ University. He is guiding research scholars in the area of data science, image processing, and software engineering.

    Sudipta Roy, Ph.D. is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Triguna Sen School of Technology, Assam University, Silchar, Assam. He was associated with ACE Consultants, Kolkata, as a software professional, and Bengal Institute of Technology, Kolkata, India, as a faculty member. His research interests include image processing, soft computing techniques, and network security. He is presently guiding research scholars as well as postgraduate and graduate students. He has published more than 80 papers in international journals and more than 70 in conference proceedings. He is a member/fellow of Institution of Engineers (IE), Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), Computer Society of India (CSI), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), International Neural Network Society (INNS), and Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
