Burke's Landed Gentry Including titled and untitled members of the modern establishment

It is now nearly thirty years since the last volume of Burke's Landed Gentry was published and we are delighted to announce the appearance of the new, 19th edition of this historic record of our society. It is currently being updated by leading experts in seven regional volumes for its 19th edition, which will be published at intervals over the next two years.

To celebrate the great changes that have occurred in the past quarter century, culminating in the re-establishment of a Parliament of Scotland, the first volume of the new 19th Edition of Burke's Landed Gentry focuses entirely on key figures and families in Scottish society, whether titled or untitled.

This, a history of Scotland in miniature, is a unique and fascinating compendium of Scottish society, reflecting developments in the country from its beginnings to the present day.

The new 19th edition also includes those of influence today, whether in politics, the military, the law, religion, academia, business, the professions or the arts.
