BOOK SERIES

Chapman & Hall/CRC Monographs and Research Notes in Mathematics

About the Series

This series is designed to capture new developments and summarize what is known over the entire field of mathematics, both pure and applied. It will include a broad range of monographs and research notes on current and developing topics that will appeal to academics, graduate students, and practitioners. Interdisciplinary books appealing not only to the mathematical community, but also to engineers, physicists, and computer scientists are encouraged.

This series will maintain the highest editorial standards, publishing well-developed monographs as well as research notes on new topics that are final, but not yet refined into a formal monograph. The notes are meant to be a rapid means of publication for current material where the style of exposition reflects a developing topic.

1st Edition

Forthcoming

Svetlin G. Georgiev, Khaled Zennir
July 06, 2020

Multiple Fixed-Point Theorems and Applications in the Theory of ODEs, FDEs and PDEs covers all the basics of the subject of fixed-point theory and its applications with a strong focus on examples, proofs and practical problems, thus making it ideal as course material but also as a reference for...

Morrey Spaces: Introduction and Applications to Integral Operators and PDE’s, Volume I

Morrey Spaces: Introduction and Applications to Integral Operators and PDE’s, Volume I

1st Edition

Forthcoming

Yoshihiro Sawano, Giuseppe Di Fazio, Denny Ivanal Hakim
June 08, 2020

Morrey spaces were introduced by Charles Morrey to investigate the local behaviour of solutions to second order elliptic partial differential equations. The technique is very useful in many areas in mathematics, in particular in harmonic analysis, potential theory, partial differential equations and...

Localized Dynamics of Thin-Walled Shells

Localized Dynamics of Thin-Walled Shells

1st Edition

Gennadi I. Mikhasev, Petr E. Tovstik
April 15, 2020

Localized Dynamics of Thin-Walled Shells focuses on localized vibrations and waves in thin-walled structures with variable geometrical and physical characteristics. It emphasizes novel asymptotic methods for solving boundary-value problems for dynamic equations in the shell theory, in the form of...

Linear Groups: The Accent on Infinite Dimensionality

Linear Groups: The Accent on Infinite Dimensionality

1st Edition

Martyn R. Dixon, Leonid A. Kurdachenko, Igor Ya. Subbotin
March 31, 2020

Linear Groups: The Accent on Infinite Dimensionality explores some of the main results and ideas in the study of infinite-dimensional linear groups. The theory of finite dimensional linear groups is one of the best developed algebraic theories. The array of articles devoted to this topic is...

Spectral Geometry of Partial Differential Operators

Spectral Geometry of Partial Differential Operators

1st Edition

Michael Ruzhansky, Makhmud Sadybekov, Durvudkhan Suragan
February 17, 2020

The aim of Spectral Geometry of Partial Differential Operators is to provide a basic and self-contained introduction to the ideas underpinning spectral geometric inequalities arising in the theory of partial differential equations. Historically, one of the first inequalities of the spectral...

Summable Spaces and Their Duals, Matrix Transformations and Geometric Properties

Summable Spaces and Their Duals, Matrix Transformations and Geometric Properties

1st Edition

Feyzi Başar, Hemen Dutta
February 07, 2020

The aim of Summable Spaces and Their Duals, Matrix Transformations and Geometric Properties is to discuss primarily about different kinds of summable spaces, compute their duals and then characterize several matrix classes transforming one summable space into other. The book also discusses several...
