    Biography

    Prof. Hazem Samih Mohamed (HS Mohamed), Egyptian, focuses on steel structures and offshore structures. He completed his Ph. D. degree at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Afterward, he was selected as a distinguished young Assoc. professor at the School of Civil Engineering Geomatics of Southwest Petroleum University. He had conducted several research works on the Fatigue assessment of offshore platforms, bearing capacity of the corroded offshore platforms, and rehabilitation of the corroded/uncorroded offshore platforms using CFRP laminates. He has published several peer-reviewed scientific papers in well-recognized top journals.

    Jinfang Hou, professorial senior engineer, the research area is foundation reinforcement technology. Presided more than 30 national, provincial and ministerial-level research projects, many achievements were incorporated into industry specification, providing guidance for port and waterway engineering design and construction. She participated in the construction of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the Harbin-Dalian Passenger Dedicated Line and the Xinjiang Navigation and Power Hub Project in Jiangxi Province. Participated in writing "Code for Geosynthetics for Waterway Engineering", "Code for Foundation of Port Engineering", "Guidelines for Design and Construction of Geosynthetics for Seepage Prevention and Drainage Protection", and many other industry standards and guidelines.
