As the world population increases daily and as climate continues to change, there is a growing need to produce more food in limited agricultural lands. This book provides several techniques to increase crop production without adverse effects to the environment. It focuses on methods that include combined approaches of traditional plant breeding and molecular genetics in crop improvement. Topics covered include biotechnology, biological control of plant diseases, formulation of biofertilizers, assessment of plant stress, and enhancement of crop productivity and quality.
