About the Editor

Dr. Seema Chopra is a consultant (Additional Professor) in Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research Chandigarh, a well-established and reputed tertiary care institute of North India. She has more than 70 publications to her credit in international as well as national journals and as author of book chapters. She is an active participant in national and international conferences, research projects. Conducting seminars, teaching of postgraduate students, administrative responsibilities are part of her curriculum. She is also designated Nodal in-charge of STI/RTI of State chapter under NACO, as well as Nodal Officer for STI reference Laboratory in her institute in collaboration with department of microbiology. She has been invited for lectures at various scientific meetings, public forums, panel discussions as well as for conducting drills in CME and workshops. She has attended/ organized live surgical workshops and have a special inclination towards Minimally Invasive Surgery. She has been involved in management of gynecological as well as obstetrical emergencies for more than 25 years in her career. Her areas of interest are endometriosis; early diagnosis and medical as well surgical management of this entity to help these women for relief of symptoms as well as part of infertility treatment. She is actively conducting research on the recurrence of endometriosis after conservative laparoscopic surgery and suppression with medical therapy as a part of post graduate thesis.
