About the Author

Ian Turner is a UK Consulting Engineer and Chartered Environmentalist. He is a registered European Engineer and a Chartered Engineer through several UK engineering institutions including the Electrical, Plant, Measurement and Control and Building Services Institutions. He is also a Chartered Environmentalist through the Society for the Environment. He served his engineering apprenticeship in the electrical industry and has been a project manager and senior engineer within both the private and public sectors of industry. For over 20 years he has been a member of the IET’s lecturing team (formerly the IEE) and has lectured within industry and UK HE and FE institutions for over 40 years.

In 2017 Ian received a long-service award from the Society of Operations Engineers for an outstanding contribution to the engineering profession over many years.
