    Biography

    Dr. Rik Das is a Lead Software Engineer (Artificial Intelligence Unit) at Siemens Technology and Services Pvt. Ltd. (Siemens Advanta), Bengaluru. He is a thought leader with over 18 years of experience in Industrial and Academic Research. Rik has been a seasoned academician before joining the corporate and has served as a Professor in multiple prestigious Universities, Institutions and EduTechs of the country. Dr. Das is conferred with the title of ACM Distinguished Speaker by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), New York, USA. He is also a Member of International Advisory Committee of AI-Forum, UK. Dr. Das is a Ph.D. (Tech.) in Information Technology from University of Calcutta. He has also received his M.Tech. (Information Technology) from University of Calcutta after his B.E. (Information Technology) from University of Burdwan. As an innovation leader, Rik has carried out collaborative research in multiple domains. He has filed and published two Indian patents consecutively during the year 2018 and 2019 and has over 80 International publications till date with reputed publishers He has published 10 books on applications of AI/ML and Computer Vision. He has also chaired multiple sessions in International Conferences on Machine Learning and has acted as a resource person / invited speaker in multiple events and refresher courses on Information Technology. Dr. Rik Das is recipient of multiple prestigious awards due to his significant contributions in the domain of Technology Consulting, Research Innovations and Academic Excellence. He is awarded with Warner von Siemens Country Award 2021 followed by Divergent category award 2022 consecutively during his current employment at Siemens Advanta. He has received "Best Innovation Award" in Computer Science category at UILA Awards 2021. He was featured in uLektz Wall of Fame as one of the "Top 50 Tech Savvy Academicians in Higher Education across India" for the year 2019. His keen interest towards application of machine learning and deep learning techniques for real life use case solutions has resulted in joint publications of research articles with Professors and Researchers from various reputed Multinational brands namely Philips-Canada, Cognizant Technology Solutions, TCS, etc. and International Universities including College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan, Canada, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, VSB Technical University of Ostrava, Ostrava, Czechia, Cairo University, Giza, Egypt and so on. Dr. Rik Das is always open to discuss new research project ideas for collaborative work and for techno-managerial consultancies.

    Dr. Madhumi Mitra is a tenured full professor of Biological and Environmental sciences in the Department of Natural Sciences at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, USA. Her research interests and expertise include: micro and macroalgal ecology and their biomonitoring and biosorption potential;; bioenergy from algae; water quality; biostratigraphy studies; and applications of robotics such as farmbots in agriculture. She is the recipient of various research and teaching awards, and has published in many peer-reviewed journals and proceedings, and presented her research at national and international conferences. She also co-edited and coauthored a book on Bioenergy with Springer Academic Publishers in 2020. She has given key-note addresses at international conferences on Bioenergy and related disciplines in the STEM areas. She holds a strong record of competitive funding from federal and state agencies, and has been the recipient of more than 15 million dollars in competitive funding as a principal and a co-principal investigator. She has served in various leadership roles for many professional organizations. She was the Division Chair of the Energy Conversion and Conservation Division (ECCD) of the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE). She has also served on the Board of Directors for Assateague Coastal Trust (ACT) for more than five years; served as a member of the commission on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion of ASEE; and have been an advocate for renewable energy and climate change. Dr. Mitra also serves as the regional editor of Taylor and Francis’ journal, International Journal of Ambient Energy.

    Dr. Chandrani Singh is a well-known researcher, industry-institute collaborator, educationist, author, content-writer and a sports enthusiast with a passion to ideate,innovate and implement. She had been awarded and nominated multiple times for Excellence in Education and also for valuable and exemplary contribution in Higher Education Sector.She has been invited on several occasions as Chief Guest of Honour, Session Chair,Publication Chair and Keynote Speaker by prestigious Grant in Aid and Government Institutions and Public,Private Universities of India and abroad and also globally recognized professional institutions like IEEE and conference hosting committees from China etc.She was selected to participate in the fully funded Conference of Asia Europe Meeting by German Academic Exchange(DAAD) named as "ASEM Education in a digital world: Bridging the continents - connecting the people?"; ASEM having 51 member nations across the world.An alumna of NIT Rourkela she has actively contributed to the Impact Project funded by World Bank to National Institute of Technology Rourkela, Orissa.She has held various respectable positions as Vice Chancellor’s nominee,.Expert Committee Member for Savitribai Phule Pune University for Course Approval,Affiliation and Continuation,and Expert Committee Member for Research Cell Affiliation and Accreditation for Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University,Dr. D.Y. Patil Group of Institutions and University,Maharashtra,India. She has been instrumental in co-sponsoring International Conferences with IIT Patna and global research bodies like IAASSE.She has been instrumental in steering the lab migration project in R and contributor for FOSSEE initiative of IIT Bombay under NMEICT GOI. In sports she had set the national record in 1985 under Girls Sub Junior Group in 100 meters sprint. She is a renowned author and editor and her books have also been adopted by premiere institutions of India and abroad. She holds 3 published patents and 10 copyrights to her credit and her researches have been published by Springer,Elsevier SSRN,IEEE,ACM etc.She is a registered guide for Department of Commerce and Management, Savitribai Phule Pune University.She has been in several print and electronic news media in the capacity of an author and article writer as well as an entrepreneur.She currently holds responsibility as Director-MCA and Placement Head – MCA(SMI) at Sinhgad Institute of Management Vadgaon,Pune and is also entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the operations of STES’ Sinhgad Data Centre. She is also a consultant to Reseapro as an Editor and Subject Expert in the core research areas like Data Mining,Cloud Computing and Adaptive Assessments.She is also the Director of a company incorporated under Company Act.She has coordinated the maintenance of website for International Cooperation & Training in Agricultural Banking.,A Govt of India Enterprise.She is also a member of various professional bodies in India and abroad.
