Research shows that gifted children tend to exhibit certain observable behaviors, such as using advanced vocabulary, grasping underlying principles, and making generalizations from complex information. The Renzulli Scales asks teachers to rate children in comparison to their peers on a host of these observable behaviors. The children who score high on the scales are more likely to be gifted. Using a tool like the Scales, a school can narrow the number of students who will be fully evaluated for a gifted program.
The items were chosen from a comprehensive body of research concerning the characteristics of gifted students. Based on a multiple talent approach to the identification of gifted students, the scales help identify student strengths.
This online pack includes 100 student "seats." Student seats may be purchased and added to an account at anytime in batches of 50 or 100 seats. A single student may be evaluated on any number of scales. A school administrator may create as many schools, examiners, and teachers as needed. Only student seats are limited by the number of seats purchased.
This online edition of Renzulli Scales allows teachers to complete the Scales using any desktop web browser. Individual and group student reports can be exported by gifted program administrators for use in spreadsheets or electronic student data systems or for communicating results with parents.
Although the online version includes complete instruction for using the online Renzulli Scales, the comprehensive Technical and Administration Manual is sold separately.
Note: Within two business days of making your purchase, you will receive an e-mail confirming your account information and allocating the purchased student seats to your account. Please allow us up to two business days to make the necessary account verification and student seat allocations.
