About the Editors

Fritz Henneberger currently occupies the Chair of Photonics at Humboldt-Universit?zu Berlin. His research comprises semiconductor lasers, photonic materials and nanostructures, as well as elementary excitations and their dynamical interactions in semiconductors. He is a recipient of the Heinrich-Hertz Award of the Germany Physical Society. Henneberger has been a staff member of the Ioffe Institute, Leningrad, for several years. He has been a visiting professor at the Optical Science Center, University of Arizona, USA, and Kyoto University, Japan.
