    Biography

    Adedeji B. Badiru is Dean and senior academic officer for the Graduate School of Engineering and Management at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT). He was previously Professor and Head of Systems Engineering and Management at AFIT, Professor and Department Head of Industrial & Information Engineering at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and Professor of Industrial Engineering and Dean of University College at the University of Oklahoma, Norman. He is a registered professional engineer (PE), a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a Fellow of the Institute of Industrial Engineers, and a Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering. He holds BS in Industrial Engineering, MS in Mathematics, and MS in Industrial Engineering from Tennessee Technological University, and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Central Florida. His areas of interest include mathematical modeling, project modeling and analysis, economic analysis, systems engineering, and efficiency/productivity analysis & improvement. He is the author of over 35 books, 38 book chapters, 88 technical journal articles, 220 conference proceedings and presentations. Often venerated by his colleagues as "a writing machine," Badiru has also published 35 magazine articles and 20 editorials and periodicals. He is a member of several professional associations and scholastic honor societies. He is the series editor for Taylor and Francis book series on Systems Innovation and Focus series on Analytics and Control. Professor Badiru was the 2020 winner of Taylor & Francis Lifetime Achievement Award.

    Tina Agustiady is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Continuous Improvement Leader.

    Her many activities and responsibilities include serving as the past Lean Division President and current Technical Vice President of Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE). She has served as a board director and chairman for the IISE annual conferences and Lean Six Sigma conferences.

    Agustiady is an instructor who trains and certifies students for Lean, Six Sigma, Innovation, Design of Experiments and Business Process Management for IISE, Lean Sigma Corporation, Six Sigma Digest, and Villanova/Bisk University. She is a Subject Matter Expert, Professor and Course Designer for professional certification programs, including undergraduate and graduate degrees at Villanova University and Bisk Education.

    Her accomplishments as a writer and author include serving as an editor for the International Journal of Six Sigma and Competitive Advantage. She has co-authored "Statistical Techniques for Project Control", "Sustainability: Utilizing Lean Six Sigma Techniques", "Total Productive Maintenance: Strategies and Implementation Guide". She also authored "Communication for Continuous Improvement Projects" and her recently published book, "Design for Six Sigma: A Practical Approach through Innovation". She is a series editor for CRC Press/Taylor and Francis series Continuous Improvement and Lean Innovation and Management.

    She was honored to be a Feigenbaum medalist for 2016 and a Crosby medalist for 2018.
