Routledge Encyclopedia of Modernism is now 30% bigger

The largest and most comprehensive resource on Modernism has just got even bigger

Routledge Encyclopedia of Modernism is an interdisciplinary online resource made up of over 1,300 articles written by experts in the field and collected together with the help of General Editor Associate Professor Stephen Ross (President of the Modernist Studies Association). 

Each article has been commissioned especially for the resource and is written by an expert in the field, where possible articles feature accompanying images to provide context and a visual aid for teaching.There are overview essays available for 25 of the most studied topics within modernism and written with the undergraduate student in mind, these bring together the expertise of a number of academics on a topic and create the perfect introduction to the subject. Every article is fully cross referenced and hyperlinked with suggestions of further reading where appropriate, providing the ideal starting point into the study of modernism. 

Routledge Encyclopedia of Modernism is updated on a bi annual basis, the October 2016 update includes:

  • Over 300 new articles across all subject areas but with a particular focus on Architecture and Dance
  • 35 new images 

Leading to a 30% increase of material on the site since launch in May 2016.
