Biography
As a crime scene investigator, I responded to all levels of cases for investigative services, from minor thefts to 1000 death investigations, including accidental, natural, traffic, suicide, and murders. As a fingerprint specialist, I maintained a growing file of over 20,000 individual files, conducted thousands of latent fingerprint comparisons, established latent identifications in almost 1000 cases, and testified to results in state and federal courts. As a bomb technician, I established the bomb squad for the Martin County Sheriff's Office in FL in 1979, as its commander growing it to a five-member unit, providing services to four counties in Florida's Treasure Coast. I completed an apprenticeship as a forensic firearms examiner with the Indian River Regional Crime Lab. Since retirement I have continued to serve as a defense consultant in my various areas of expertise, plus as an instructor for various programs, including the US Department of State Global Anti-Terrorism Assitance program, the University of South Florida Center for Biological Defense, and the Department of Homeland Security's Initial Response to Terrorist Bombing program.Education
