I was born and raised in Toronto, but have also spent much time in Salerno, Italy, my ancestral city. After completing my PhD in International and Comparative Politics at Queen's University, I began teaching full-time at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario. My research interests include the intersections between emotions and politics, with a regional focus on Europe and the Middle East. Outside of academia, I enjoy poetry, hip-hop dancing, urban cycling, and reading classical literature
