I teach at Hunter College, CUNY, in the Political Science Department and the Public Policy Program at Roosevelt House. My research and scholarship are focused on the politics of poverty and inequality. My work is multi-methodological, using history, political theory, psycho-analysis, discourse analysis, ethnography, visual culture, quantitative analysis and other forms of data analysis to examine multiple dimensions of the political economy of poverty and inequality in the US and elsewhere.
