Francesca Di Marco

Francesca Di Marco is a cultural historian, specialized in History of Modern Japan, the Asia-Pacific and East Asia. She wrote several articles on suicide in Japan in which she examines the norms and mechanisms regulating the construction of suicide in non-fictional media, in the medical community and in popular culture. She lives in San Francisco with her husband and two children.
