Theresa Quigney
I began my career as a classroom special education teacher. I then became a County-level Supervisor/Consultant for special education programming in seven school districts. I completed a doctoral program leading to a Ph.D. in Special Education. I continue to be a faculty member at the college level with a focus on preparation in Special Education. I have also been involved with research investigations, grants, and numerous professional publications and conference presentations.

Biography
I began my career as a classroom special education teacher. I then became a County-level Supervisor/Consultant for special education programming in seven school districts. I completed a doctoral program leading to a Ph.D. in Special Education. I continue to be a faculty member at the college level with a focus on preparation in Special Education. I have taught numerous classes which have had a focus on students with disabilities. Some of my research has focused on the role of school counselors in special education and how preservice training may provide a better basis for their work with students with disabilities. I have also been involved with other research investigations, grants, service activities, and numerous professional publications and conference presentations.Education
