Xinkun Wang
Dr. Wang is the director of the Northwestern University Next-Generation Sequencing Facility. Previously he directed the Genomics Facility and Genome Sequencing Laboratory at the University of Kansas. Dr. Wang is a genomicist and a renowned expert in genomics technologies and their applications to biomedical research. His research interest is focused on unraveling genomic changes in brain aging and neurodegenerative diseases, mostly Alzheimer’s disease.

Biography
Dr. Wang is the director of the Northwestern University Next-Generation Sequencing Facility in Chicago. He oversees genomics technology development, facility operation, and engages in research collaboration with researchers at Feinberg School of Medicine and others in the Chicago area. He has served as the Principal Investigator in a number of research grants on detecting genomic changes that underlie selective neuronal loss in brain aging and neurodegenerative diseases.Education
