Giovanni Saggio - Ph. D., Researcher and Aggregate Professor at the University of Tor Vergata in Rome (Italy), holds chairs about Electronics at the Engineering Faculty and at the Medical Faculty. Biography
Giovanni Saggio received the degree in Electronics Engineering and the Ph.D. in MicroElectronics and Telecommunication Engineering at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”.He won one Fellowship by Texas Instruments and two Fellowships by the Italian National Research Council (CNR). He developed researches on nanoElectronics at the Glasgow University (Ultra Small Structure Lab.), and on Electronic devices at the Cambridge University (Cavendish Lab.), and Oxford (Rutherford Appleton Lab.). He has been designer, planner and director of electrical installations and security, plus hydraulic systems.
He is currently Researcher and Aggregate Professor at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” (Italy), where holds chairs about Electronics at the Engineering Faculty (Depts. of Information, Automation, Mathematics, Biomedical, Master of Sound, Master of CBRN Protection) and at the Medical Faculty (Depts. of Neurophysiology, Cardiovascular Medicine, Orthopedics, Audiology).
He has been working on problems concerning Electronic noise, SAWs, Electronic sensors and, more recently, his research activity concerns the field of BioTechnology.
He has been project leader of researches for the Italian Space Agency (ASI), for the Avionic Service of the Italian Defence Department (Armaereo), for the Italian Workers’ Compensation Authority (INAIL), currently member of the Italian Space Biomedicine, founder and manager of HITEG (Health Involved Technical Engineering Group).
He authored or co-authored more than 100 scientific publications for Conference and international Journals, four patents, several book chapters and is unique author of three books (in Italian language) “Basi di Elettronica” (three editions), “Applicazioni di Elettronica di Base”, and “Elettronica Analogica Fondamentale” (UniversItalia ed.).
