I have been teaching music at the university level for over 30 years and am also an active performer on the trumpet and conductor. I have been blessed to work with great teachers and professionals in the music world including Wynton Marsalis, Barbara Butler, Donald Hunsberger, Chris Martin, Randy Brecker, Leonard Candelabra, Charles Geyer and so many others. I still am enthralled in sharing the joy of music with all types of audiences and travel often performing and doing masterclasses.

My education includes degrees from Florida State University, the University of North Texas and a DMA from the Eastman School of Music.   I have taught high school and junior high band in Texas, been in drum corps, played at Disney World and in the Dallas Cowboys Band and in many orchestras including the Kansas City Symphony and others.  I was a Fulbright Artist in Residence in Greece and have also served on the Fulbright Selection Panel in Washington, DC.  I travel regularly to Greece and Albania and also China where I am a visiting professor at several institutions.
