P. Mary Vidya Porselvi is Assistant Professor of English, Loyola College, Chennai, India. She obtained her BA, MA and PhD degrees from Stella Maris College. She has been a recipient of the Fulbright Nehru Academic and Professional (FNAPE) Award for the year 2019-2020 and served as a visiting faculty and researcher at the Department of Asian Studies at the University of Texas, Austin for the Fall semester. Her area of study is Ecofeminist-Semiotic reading of Classical Indian Literature.

Biography

Dr. P. Mary Vidya Porselvi obtained her B.A, M.A and Ph.D from Stella Maris College, Chennai, India. She has worked as lecturer at the Department of English, Stella Maris College from 2000 to 2003. She has authored books titled Bhoomi Tales, a collection of folktales translated from Tamil to English. She has authored English workbooks titled Affirmative Words and Radiant Expressions published by the Department of English, Loyola College in 2012 and Cornucopia- English Language Learning through World Folklore published by Arumbu Publication, Chennai in 2013. She has a Diploma in Creative Writing in English and has published poems in journals and anthologies and translates works in Tamil and English.

    She has presented papers related to Ecofeminism and Folklore in conferences and published articles in National and International Peer-reviewed journals.
